Software used:
Illustrator + Photoshop + Clip Studio Pro [<For Sketching]
The sketch of my art. Later will be edited.
Illustrator
Open up Illustrator and open the sketch art.
Use 'Pen Tool' to trace the sketches. Here I traced the face of the sketch.
Using same method, trace the mask outline.
Trace the teeth.
Trace the outer eye.
Trace the eye.
Trace the leaf
Trace the outer jacket outline.
Trace the left hand.
Trace the Zipper.
Trace the inner Zipper.
Trace the pants.
Trace the neck leaf.
Trace the collar of the jacket.
Trace the Zipper line.
Trace the Zipper teeth.
Trace the pocket.
Trace the other pocket.
Apply colors accordingly.
This color is too solid and plane, let's add some gradient to the colors!
[Use 'Gradient Tool']
Tada! The colors after adding gradient.
Now we have done enough with Illustrator, let's go to Photoshop to add effects!
Photoshop
Open up the art with Photoshop.
This eye color is too not scary or plane. Lets change it with 'Level'. Make sure select the eye with Elliptical Marquee Tool.
This is much better! I like it!
Lets add/change the color tone of this picture.Open a new layer. Use 'Brush Tool' to paint the character with Gray color at the part I covered in red lines.
Change the Blending option to Subtract and make sure the Opacity is always 100%.
Apply the same method at the leaf.
Continued the process until I feels nice.
Seems not enough, continued to add effects. The red brackets are the list of the 'Shadow' effects.
Merge the layers together.
Open a new file, the size is A2. [Personal preference]
Open up the image.
Open a new layer and add a dark background for it. I used Gray.
Use 'Brush Tool' add some White color on the background to make it looks a bit shine.
Same method as before. Add a bit of purple at the back.
Tada! My masterpiece for Basic Computer class. Hope you like it.
